Demura Shihan traveled to Pittsburg, Kansas on April 22-26 for seminars and a tournament hosted by Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Genbu-Kai of Pittsburg, Kansas. The weekend's events included kata classes and seminars in batto-do, kobu-do and
karate-do taught by Shihan Demura, as well as a tournament and an awards
banquet. The Pittsburg Genbu-Kai organization was founded in 1975 by Dean Heinitz, who now heads dojos in Valley Center, Wichita and Udall.
